You’re a quilter who gains extra satisfaction from completing each step in the process of making a quilt on your own. It’s a challenge, however, to quilt midsized to large quilts on a desktop sewing machine. The quilt sandwiching step alone is difficult for larger quilts. Even for smaller quilts, the result may be less than the desired quality.

| Renting time on my Pfaff GrandQuilter Machine and Inspira Frame is a wonderful way do your own quilting work with improved tools and excellent results.
Before you begin on your own quilt project, you will be given a 3-hour private lesson on how to use the machine, prepare your quilt and set up the quilt on the frame. All the materials for class will be supplied and you will receive written instructions to keep. Instructions will include a list of supplies (pins, scissors, bobbins, thread, etc.) you will need when you start your own project. The cost of the required lesson is $75.
|
After successfully concluding the lesson, quilting time may be scheduled at a rate of $10 per hour. I will be available most of the time while you are working, in case you have occasional questions or need some help.
If you are interested in additional practice quilting with the GrandQuilter, before starting on your own project, you may practice with supplied materials at the same rate schedule ($10 per hour). A quilt top, backing, batting and thread will be provided at no cost. You must finish the quilt and leave it behind so that I can finish the binding and include it with Faithful Circle Quilters (FCQ) Love Quilts, which are given to local charities each year. There is no concern about how the quilt will look so these are excellent quilts on which to practice--they are always appreciated and loved by the recipients. See FCQ’s web site for more info about the guild and our Love Quilt Project .
