This quilt is a featured in Gyleen Fitzgerald's latest book "Brick, Cobblestones and Pebbles". Gyleen named the pattern Symmetry Square. I named the quilt "Fuchsia Hedge" because the bright pink and orange splashes of color remind me of the colorful wild fuchsia bushes I found once on a hike.
The blocks are made from a wide variety of batik and regular cotton fabrics. The backing is a single wide batik vine print. The batting used is a cotton/polyester blend. An all over flower and leaf pattern is quilted in a variegated thread.
